Hail the day that sees him rise, Alleluya!\nGlorious to his native skies; Alleluya!\nChrist, awhile to mortals given, Alleluya!\nEnters now the highest heaven! Alleluya!\n2. There the glorious triumph waits; Alleluya!\nLift your heads, eternal gates! Alleluya!\nChrist hath vanquished death and sin; Alleluya!\nTake the King of glory in. Alleluya!\n3. See! The heaven its Lord receives, Alleluya!\nYet he loves the earth he leaves: Alleluya!\nThough returning to his throne, Alleluya!\nStill he calls mankind his own. Alleluya!\n4. See! He lifts his hands above; Alleluya!\nSee! He shows the prints of love: Alleluya!\nHark! His gracious lips bestow, Alleluya!\nBlessings on his Church below. Alleluya!\n5. Still for us he intercedes; Alleluya!\nHis prevailing death he pleads; Alleluya!\nNear himself prepares our place, Alleluya!\nHarbinger of human race. Alleluya!\n6.
