O Jesus, Jesus! dearest Lord!\nForgive me if I say\nFor very love thy Sacred Name\nA thousand times a day.\n2. I love thee so, I know not how\nMy transport to control;\nThy love is like a burning fire\nWithin my very soul.\n3. O wonderful! That thou shouldst let\nSo vile a heart as mine\nLove thee with such a love as this,\nAnd make so free with thine.\n4. For thou to me art all in all,\n81\nMy honour and my wealth,\nMy heart’s desire, my body’s strength,\nMy soul’s eternal health.\n5. What limit is there to thee, love?\nThy flight where wilt thou stay?\nOn! on! Our Lord is sweeter far\nTo-day than yesterday.\n6. Oh love of Jesus! Blessèd love!\nSo will it ever be;\nTime cannot hold thy wondrous growth,\nNo, nor eternity!
