Dear angel, ever at my side,\nHow loving must thou be,\nTo leave thy home in heaven to guard\nA sinful child like me.\n2. For I have felt thee in my thoughts\nFighting with sin for me:\nAnd when my heart loves God, I know\nThe sweetness is from thee.\n3.
